One prompt, three jobs

A support agent gets a messy complaint. It has to find the product, judge the customer's mood, and write a reply. The builder puts all three jobs in one big prompt. The model mixes them up: it calls the mood a refund and replies about the wrong product. The fix is not a better prompt. It is a chain. Extract first, analyze second, draft last. Each step gets one job, and the output of one becomes the input of the next. Between steps you can check the result with plain code. That is Prompt Chaining: pipe and filter, but the pipe carries language.
